VETS Canada Surpasses Fundraising Goal for Veteran Moms at Christmas
This holiday season, VETS Canada is working with two Veterans, both single mothers, who have fallen onto hard times. Unfortunate circumstances meant that these two mothers were unable to provide much of a Christmas for their children. Both women were devastated by this; desiring for nothing more than their little ones to be smiling on December 25th.
Determined to help, VETS Canada put a call out to the public via a GoFundMe campaign – aiming to raise $2000.00 for these families for Christmas. Through word of mouth and some social media sharing, caring Canadians began to donate; the desire to held spread. Within only a week, not only was the initial fundraising goal reached, but surpassed by $5000.00! Additionally, Guitars for Vets volunteers were able to present a guitar to each of the family members; a very exciting treat for these little ones!
