Tina enjoying her new guitar
As our Guitars for Vets Canada program expands and increases in popularity, we are thrilled to announce that Joan Leppik has taken on the Team Lead role for Manitoba. As a military spouse, a VETS Canada volunteer for the past four years and a guitar player for 41 years, Joan is the perfect person to take on this role and we couldn’t be happier that she has accepted it.
As one of Joan’s first duties, she had the privilege to present a donated guitar to Manitoba’s newest student, Tina Vandersteen. Tina passed along her gratitude with a lovely note….
“Thank you VETS CANADA for introducing me to Guitars for Vets.
Thank you Guitars for Vets for the wonderful guitar, it is a perfect fit for me. I look forward to playing guitar real soon. I have over the years adapted and adjusted to being diagnosed with PTSD due to MST. Feeling thankful that I will have another tool to add to my therapy tool box 🙂 Be well, Tina Vandersteen”
Many thanks to both of these ladies!
